In addition, article protection insert 607 can be used with a package forming blanket other than blanket 601 without departing from the disclosure. [00058] In general, blankets can be constructed of cardboard material with a thickness such that it is heavier and stiffer than plain paper. Blankets can also be constructed of other materials; such as cardboard, stiff paper, or any other material that has adequate properties to allow the carton pack to function at least generally as described above. The blanket can be coated with, for example, a clay-based coating. The clay-based coating can then be printed with product advertising, price coding and other information or images. Blanket 3 can be further coated with a varnish to protect any information printed on the blanket. Blankets can be further coated with, for example, a moisture barrier layer on either or both sides of the blanket. The blankets can also be laminated with, or overlaid with one or more of the film type, in selected panels or sections of panels. [00059] As an example a tear line may include: a slit that extends partially into the material along the desired line of weakness, and/or a series of mutually spaced slits that extend partially inward and/or completely through the material along the length of the desired line of weakness, or various combinations of these characteristics. As a more specific example, one type of tear line is in the form of a series of mutually separated slits that extend partially inward and/or completely through the material along the desired line of weakness, or various combinations of these features. As a more specific example, one type of tear line is in the form of a series of spaced slits that extend completely through the material, with adjacent slits being slightly spaced apart, such that an incision (eg, a small piece of material) forming something like a bridge) is defined between adjacent slits to typically temporarily connect the material along the length of the tear line. The incisions are broken during tearing along the tear line. The incisions typically constitute a relatively small percentage of the tear line, and alternatively, the incisions may be omitted from, or torn in, a tear line, such that the tear line becomes a continuous cut line. That is, it is within the scope of the present disclosure for each of the tear lines to be replaced with a continuous slit or the like. For example, a cut line can be a continuous slit or it can be wider than a slit, without departing from the present disclosure. [00060] According to the above-described embodiments of the present disclosure, a fold line may be any substantially linear, although not necessarily straight, line of weakness that facilitates folding along it. More specifically, but not for the purpose of narrowing the scope of the present disclosure, fold lines include: a crease line, such as lines formed with a blunt crease knife, or the like, that creates a crushed portion of the material along the desired line of fragility; a cut that extends partially in and/or completely through the material along the desired line of weakness; and various combinations of these characteristics. In situations where a cut is used to create a fold line, typically the cut should not be excessively long in order to induce a reasonable user to incorrectly regard the fold line as a tear line. [00061] The above embodiments can be described as having one or more panels adhered together by glue during assembly of the packaging embodiments. The term "glue" is intended to encompass all types of adhesives commonly used to secure packaging panels in place. [00062] The foregoing description of the disclosure illustrates and describes several representative embodiments. Various additions, modifications, alterations, etc., can be made to the representative modalities, without departing from the scope and scope of the description. It is intended that all matter contained in the above description or shown in the accompanying drawings is to be construed as illustrative and not in a limiting sense. Furthermore, the description shows and describes only selected embodiments of the disclosure, but the description is capable of being used in various other combinations, modifications and environments, being capable of alterations or modifications within the scope of the inventive concept as expressed herein, in agreement with the above teachings, and/or that fall within the competences or knowledge of the relevant technique. In addition, certain aspects and features of each modality may be selectively interchanged and applied to other illustrated and unillustrated modes of disclosure.
